Norwegian Cruise Line offers an innovative and relaxing experience with its “freestyle cruising” that was offered in 2000. You and your honey will be sure to have the exact cruise you are looking for, suited to your personal style and taste.
Norwegian Cruise Line Ships and Itinerary
Norwegian Cruise Line has over a dozen ships in its fleet. You can choose to travel in an older vessel with an intimate feel or a newer ship that is comparable to the mainstream cruise lines. All of the older vessels have undergone major renovations, so you will be sure to have only top-notch accommodations.
The smallest ship within the Norwegian Cruise Line is the Norwegian Crown. Originally launched in 1988, it is also the oldest. But, it underwent renovations in 2003 and can hold over 1,000 passengers. The newest ships, the Norwegian Star and the Norwegian Dawn, on the other hand, can each hold over 2,200 passengers.
Norwegian Cruise Line is located in Miami, Florida, but has numerous ports including in New York, New York; Baltimore, Maryland; Boston, Massachusetts; New Orleans, Louisiana; Los Angeles, California; and Honolulu, Hawaii. From these ports, you can enjoy a Bermuda cruise, a Bahamas cruise, an Alaska cruise, a Hawaiian cruise, a Canada cruise, a Europe cruise, a Panama Canal cruise, a South America cruise, a variety of Caribbean cruises, and Mexico cruise into the Riviera. The cruise line also has a private island, Great Stirrup Cay, that you can visit. Itineraries range from seven, to ten, to eleven night voyages.
Activities Aboard Norwegian Cruise Lines
Norwegian Cruise Lines offers main dining rooms and specialty restaurants, all of which provide open-seating and casual dress codes. Formal nights are also optional, regardless of where passengers dine. There are no seating assignments or fixed dining times, which makes it easier for passengers to mingle more freely. Among the specialty restaurants, however, you will have to make reservations ahead of time. At these restaurants, you can enjoy French, Japanese, Asian, Spanish, and Italian dining. Casual options include pizzerias, ice cream, and 24 hour room service. The Chocoholic Extravaganza Buffet is also very popular as it features a variety of chocolate desserts, ranging from brownies, to cakes, to tortes.
You can also take in a variety of shows with Norwegian Cruise Line. Comedians and soloists put on productions. Cabaret acts, pianists, and late-night discos provide a more intimate night out. There are also numerous shows that encourage passenger participation.
For a real workout, you can work out in gym, which offers exercise machines, free weights, yoga, aerobics, and fitness classes. Step aerobics and stretching is also provided, as well as jogging tracks, pools, and sports courts. Other classes, such as kickboxing and spinning, can be enjoyed for a small additional fee. Afterward, you can relax in hot tub or in the spa, where you can enjoy facials, massages, and manicures.
Norwegian Cruise Lines also provide gambling and other activities, such as cooking demonstrations, dance lessons, spa demonstrations, and art auctions. The longer cruises offers enrichment classes such as investing, ocean navigation, and nutrition. Snorkeling demonstrations are also available in the pool.
Norwegian Cruise Lines is a great option if you are looking for flexibility with your cruise. You can enjoy casual dress and open dining to make the cruise truly suit your taste.
