Paris Hilton Not Ready For Marriage - Wedding Is Off

Not wanting to rush into marriage too quickly, the 24-year-old Hilton broke off her four-month engagement.

"I'm still young and still have a very active career that I'm not prepared to give up. I have worked very hard to get to where I am. Paris is a great guy and we will handle this with dignity and respect."

Hilton and Latsis met 10 years ago in a Monoco nightclub, and began their romance in December while skiing in Switzerland.

Latsis gave Hilton a 24 carat, $5 million diamond engagement ring when the two became engaged in May.

Latsis had nothing but kind words to say about his ex-fiancé. The 22-year-old Greek shipping heir called Hilton "the most incredible woman I have ever met in my life," in a brief statement released Monday through Hilton publicist Elliott Mintz.
